PAINTED WILLIE
Formed in Los Angeles in 1984 from the ashes of Sin 34, by the rhythm section of Phil Newman and Dave Markey. Painted Willie debuted on Spinhead Records, put out two EPs, and then signed to SST Records in 1985.
For the next few years, the band shared the stage with brother bands Black Flag, The Meat Puppets, Redd Kross. Butthole Surfers, fIREHOSE & Saccharine Trust before calling it quits in 1987.
In 2008, Painted Willie signed with DC-Jam Records for the re-release of their 1985 signature record, "Mind Bowling" which is now available for the first time ever in digital and CD format.
